White Wolf Yoga
White Wolf Yoga is a completely unique space located in the heart of Liverpool City Centre.
White Wolf Yoga was founded by Louise Fitzsimmons in 2014 and our city centre flagship studio opened in 2016.
A place to nurture minds, bodies & spirits.
We are situated in within an iconic Victorian building known as The Property Exchange and we occupy an enormous majestic ballroom that was once used for city property auctions. In the renovation and design of White Wolf Yoga, it was important for us to retain the historic character of the space but to update with clean lines and a light, natural colour scheme.
We love the classic, minimal Scandinavian style and the interior of White Wolf Yoga & Kitchen has been designed with hints of this Nordic influence. Our aim was to give the space an open, calm yet warm & welcoming feel – bringing the natural beauty and tranquility of the forests, mountains, lakes and oceans into our studio.
What does White Wolf mean?
White Wolf is a Native American name for Killer Whale, or Orca – our favourite animal in the world! The nickname derives from a Native American legend, which claims that the first Killer Whale was a supernatural white wolf that entered the ocean and transformed into a whale.
Among Native American tribes in the Pacific Northwest Coast, Orca are represented as lords of the ocean and are renowned for their mysterious beauty. Killer Whales are a symbol of power, love and unity and we believe that through the practice of yoga we can harness the spirit of the White Wolf and bring their values into our lives and the lives of the people around us.
