A Christian Based Counselling Service For Anyone In Need, Reach has offered Christian Counselling since 1986.
Our aim and desire is to provide acceptance and understanding to all who come for help. We seek to enable people to work through their own difficulties and choices as they wish, by offering counselling for all whether Christian, of any other faith, or no faith.
Our counsellors are trained people from churches around the North West, some of whom are employed, some of whom counsel voluntarily. They are overseen by the Co-ordinator and the Reach Council of Management.
We regularly help clients struggling with marriage, depression, trauma, anxiety and abuse, but whatever the starting point our heartfelt desire is to help clients improve the quality of their lives.
It has always been our aim to offer professional quality counselling for anyone in need on a donation-only basis, because we do not want anyone to be prevented from receiving counselling for financial reasons. We ask clients to consider our ‘fair donation principle’ which is to donate £1 per £1,000 of their annual income for each session attended.
We offer Christian counselling to anyone in need at seven venues across the North-West. This includes pastoral counselling for those who have a Christian faith and community counselling for those of any other faith or of no faith. We offer a professional Christian counselling service with a professionally managed appointment system. We seek to help hurting people find new hope. We help people find greater levels of freedom: ‘You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free’ (John 8:32).
The Dyslexia Foundation was set up in 1999 to support Dyslexic people, focusing on those who needed practical support and information in an accessible format.
Our charity work has a portfolio range of assisting adults with Dyslexia across the North West. Dyslexia Foundation has charity status which means we are in a specialist position to offer support to people with Dyslexia.
Among our range of services, we offer free Dyslexia screenings and subsidised rates of assessment costs for people in work and education.
We employ professionally qualified staff, the majority of whom have Dyslexia, including tutors, advisors and psychologists. The ethos of the organisation is the ability rather than the disability, empowering adults to look positively to the future.
The organisation has its Head Office in Merseyside and a satellite office in Lancashire. The organisation offers a professional helpline for adults in employment and education, support for employers, and advice, information and guidance. We also offer Screening, Assessment, One-to-One Tuition and Needs Assessments.
We work with individuals, groups and large statutory and vocational organisations from the public, private and voluntary sector offering innovative solutions to adults with Dyslexia. We have also worked with people with learning disabilities such as Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, ADHD, ADD and Bipolar.
